Mike was born in Jos, Nigeria to his missionary parents, J.Paul & Helen Bruton, which birthed his passion for missions and later his call into the ministry. He continues to travel to Africa to support the widows & orphans in Congo & Rwanda.
Mike, along with his wife Katie, have been the senior pastors of Northeast Assembly for the past 17 years. Prior to that, he served as a senior pastor for two other churches in Southern California.
Mike is a graduate of Bethany College in Scotts Valley, California where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies. He received a master’s degree of Divinity from Fuller Theological seminary.
During his down-time, you can usually find him early in the morning at the gym, golfing, Starbucks, enjoying a football game on t.v. or playing with his eight grandchildren.
Mike & Katie have two wonderful daughters and sons-in-law who also reside in Clovis with their children.
